About The Company

The principals of Retirement Management Inc., Robert A. DeVoss and David A. Lewis, have been active in retirement community development, marketing and management for a combined total of over 60 years. Both are native Hoosiers.

After many years of developing, marketing and operating retirement communities across the country in major metropolitan areas, they found that older adults seeking retirement housing in smaller towns and cities could not find satisfactory choices for security, independence and companionship. This lack of local independent and assisted living options in towns of 10,000 to 50,000 forced many older adults who desired this type of housing to leave their home, family, friends and business relationships and relocate.

In addition, a new housing trend began to develop across the country several years ago. Many older adults not only desired to remain in their own hometown, many others wanted to return to their hometown after living in a warmer climate such as Florida or Arizona.

To answer these needs, the company has focused on developing retirement communities in smaller towns and cities in Indiana. Today Retirement Management, Inc. operates eight independent and assisted living communities in Indiana. Our focus continues to be on operating these communities with a very high level of quality and on developing, or acquiring, additional communities in new locations to offer better options for older adults.
